I have been posting a number of images on Facebook from the DL&W Photo Archives, now under the stewardship of the National Park Service at Steamtown NHS. Today, I found an architect's drawing in those images drawn by a person named Botsford. Upon googling "Botsford DL&W", I found this:

DL&W image from the Steamtown National Historic Site Collection. W.H. Botsford's drawings are BEAUTIFUL.

Image on facebook (Proposed Bath, NY Passenger Station).

Mr. Botsford designed a number of structures for the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western RR. Most notable is his contribution to the design of the Nicholson Bridge (Tunkhannock Viaduct) However he also designed several other structures, most notably on the "NJ Cutoff" In upcoming posts, I'll post photos of structures he designed which helped make the DL&W a superior railroad.
